A4A Carriers Prepared for Peak Package Season

When making your list and checking it twice this holiday season, don’t forget about shipping deadlines.
Airlines for America (A4A) is encouraging shoppers and shippers to check their preferred cargo carrier’s holiday shipping schedules.
Every day, U.S. cargo and passenger airlines transport 61,00 tons of cargo across the globe. Our carriers have been prepping for months to meet the holiday rush, with more than 1 million employees across U.S. passenger and cargo operations dedicated to safely, securly and efficiently transporting goods and travelers this holiday season.
In addition to providing advanced tracking technologies, both FedEx and UPS have hired seasonal workers across the country to help better serve customers during the holiday season. Additionally, Atlas Air is working with countless businesses to transport a range of products to customers.
During the holiday season and with an uptick of deliveries, remember these tips:
- Utilize tracking services, including those offered on carrier apps;
- Order with ample time to help ensure delivery on time;
- Check shipping policies and delivery times;
- Be mindful of shipping restrictions.
To make sure your gift arrives in time, be sure to ship your packages by the following dates:
- Wednesday, December 17 is the last day to ship FedEx Ground 5-day shipping for delivery before Christmas Eve.
- Monday, December 22 is the last day to ship FedEx 2Day for delivery before Christmas Eve.
- Tuesday, December 23 is the last day to ship FedEx Overnight for delivery before Christmas Eve.
- Friday, December 19 is the last day to ship UPS 3 Day Select for packages to be delivered before Christmas Eve.
- Monday, December 22 is the last day to ship UPS 2nd Day Air packages for delivery before Christmas Eve.
- Tuesday, December 23 is the last day to ship UPS Next Day Air packages for delivery before Christmas Eve.
