A4A Announces Nominations are Open for the 2024 Nuts & Bolts Awards

Airlines for America is accepting nominations for the 2024 Nuts & Bolts Awards, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding service and achievements in the engineering or maintenance fields within the commercial aviation industry.

Safety is and will always be the number one priority of U.S. airlines — both passenger and all-cargo carriers — and as an industry, we are constantly challenging ourselves to meet and exceed the highest standards of safety.

U.S. airlines complete over 25,000 flights a day, and this is possible because of the tireless work from engineering and maintenance professionals dedicated to upholding a tradition of safety.

With 2024’s Nuts & Bolts Awards — which will be awarded to both airline and nonairline individuals — A4A continues a decades-long tradition in giving the prestigious awards.

In 1967, members of the Air Transport Association of America (now doing business as A4A) began recognizing safety leaders in aviation by annually bestowing the awards, which celebrate outstanding contributions to the airline industry over an extended period.

Please consider nominating your airline or nonairline candidate by writing 300-500 words justifying why your candidate’s individual contributions to the aviation industry in the engineering and maintenance field deserve recognition, and the role these individuals played in industry activities with significant outcomes.

Nominations may be made using the form below by December 15, 2023. The award recipients will be announced at the 2024 MRO Americas Conference in Chicago and be honored at a luncheon featuring previous Nuts & Bolts award recipients.
