Thousands of Coloradans use credit cards to accumulate points and earn rewards, which they can use for airfare, hotel stays, groceries or cash back. Unfortunately, some Colorado state lawmakers want to cut off those benefits, leaving consumers holding the bag! They need to hear that SB26-134 is bad for families, bad for travelers and bad for our state’s economy. Tell Colorado’s elected leaders to PROTECT OUR POINTS!
Airlines for America (A4A) President and CEO Chris Sununu has sent a letter to Colorado Governor Jared Polis requesting that he veto SB26-134 (the Payment Card Networks’ Fees), because the legislation could eliminate credit card rewards programs for the millions of consumers who love to earn points and redeem them for clothes, groceries, gas and travel.
The letter cites recent polling that shows four out of five Coloradans say earning bonus rewards is an important benefit of using their credit cards.
The full letter may be seen here and below.
The bill would jeopardize credit card rewards programs and the points that consumers earn!
