A4A Applauds President Trump and Secretary Duffy for Leadership on ATC Modernization

Airlines for America (A4A) created a new 30-second video thanking President Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy for their bold leadership in advancing efforts to modernize the nation’s air traffic control (ATC) system. The video aired during commercial breaks on both Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends and Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria this past week.

The video featured key quotations from both President Trump and Secretary Duffy who have repeatedly called for investment in ATC infrastructure.

“We’re all going to do a great computerized system for our control towers, brand-new, not pieced together, obsolete,” said President Trump in the video.

Secretary Duffy added, “I think our country, those who use the airspace, they deserve this moment in time to actually deliver an air traffic control system that’s going to keep them safe.”

Their comments also reflect a growing bipartisan consensus around the urgent need to replace outdated radar-based technology with more modern, satellite-enabled infrastructure. The “Thank You” video is part of A4A’s broader campaign to shine a light on the real-world benefits of a modernized ATC system—from increased efficiency and reduced delays to enhanced safety and a lower environmental footprint.

This comes as lawmakers on Capitol Hill work to pass the reconciliation bill, which currently contains a $12.5 billion investment in upgrading infrastructure in U.S. airspace. President Trump and Secretary Duffy have worked tirelessly to bring this plan into fruition, and U.S. airlines are urging lawmakers to pass the bill with this critical downpayment in ATC modernization as soon as possible.

The multi-billion-dollar investment is just the starting point for delivering the kind of robust system the U.S. aviation industry and the traveling public urgently need. With President Trump and Secretary Duffy’s leadership, the U.S. can bring about a new golden age of travel and maintain its standing as the gold standard of aviation safety.
