A4A Applauds House Appropriators for FY 2024 FAA Funding

WASHINGTON, July 18, 2023 — Airlines for America (A4A) applauds the House Appropriations Committee for their dedication to a safe and robust National Airspace System (NAS) with increased funding for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“House appropriators rightly recognize the near-crisis situation at the FAA and the devastating impact the status quo would have on our aviation system and the economy,” said Nicholas E. Calio, President and CEO of A4A. “Inadequate air traffic control staffing and FAA technology failures have impacted thousands of flights this year. We greatly appreciate the appropriators’ understanding and appropriate funding response. This is money well spent to ensure the NAS remains safe and efficient for passengers and cargo alike.
