A Better Flight Plan

Connecting Communities

Member Monday

Our member airlines work hard every day to provide high-quality customer service, delivering passengers and packages safely to their final destination. Through the transfer of people and goods, U.S. airlines connect us to cultures and traditions across the world, truly making it a smaller place.

While as passengers we may not always be witness to their great work, the evidence is all around us. In case you missed it, here are highlights from a few of our member airlines last week.

American Airlines

American knows the importance of empowering women. They recently teamed up with Variety to sponsor the “Power of Women” event in New York, benefiting American’s “Miles for Kids” program. The 2016 honorees included Megyn Kelly, Lupita Nyong’o, Julianne Moore, Vera Wang and Misty Copeland.

Alaska Airlines

Congratulations are in order for the great maintenance teams at Alaska Air! The hard-working crew recently took home the 1st place prize at the Aerospace Maintenance Competition.

Leave it to FedEx to bring a little magic to children battling illness and their families. NBA legend Magic Johnson surprised the families at the FedEx Family House in Memphis, which provides cost-free housing for out-of-town families with children at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
