In a partnership with Amazon, Atlas Air is delivering Christmas spirit as well, providing the company with air cargo services for the more than 600 million shipments Amazon processes per year. Atlas Air maintenance crews and pilots and will operate 20 Boeing 767 freighters, including one with the unique “Amazon One” livery.
To help ensure your packages get to you in time, FedEx has employed an additional 55,000 workers and UPS has hired 95,000 seasonal employees to handle the increased amount of deliveries. These positions encompass all aspects of the companies, including package handlers, drivers and other support positions.
The modern miracle of overnight shipping has made last-minute shoppers breathe a sigh of relief. To ensure your package arrives in time for the big day, order with UPS Next Day Air and FedEx Standard or Priority Overnight by Thursday, Dec. 22. Of course, dangerous winter weather can unexpectedly impact operations across the country, so the earlier you send your package, the better.
