How Airlines Are Giving Back to Support One Global Family
February 19, 2016
Nearly 5,000 children taking fantasy flights. Millions of miles donated to those in need. More than 2 million hours of service volunteered. At least 13 million pounds of supplies delivered for humanitarian aid.
These are just a few ways in which the U.S. airlines have been giving back to communities around the world. They are committed to supporting our men and women in the military, giving children the chance to achieve their dreams, lending a hand to their neighbors through community-based programs and creating a global family by providing assistance during times of disaster relief.
Our members truly take to heart the interests of their passengers, employees and fellow members of the communities where they work and live.
That’s why we launched a website to help showcase their great work. Visit airlines.org/airlinesgiveback to learn more about how your carriers are developing meaningful relationships with non-profit and cause-related organizations to support initiatives that range from protecting the environment and encouraging medical advancements to enhancing education and promoting the arts.
