The Safest Time in U.S. Commercial Aviation History
The last decade (2000-2009) closed as the safest in the U.S. commercial aviation history. According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), since deregulation, there have been less than 0.5 fatal accidents per million scheduled departures for U.S. airlines.
