FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center
The FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center, or Command Center as it is commonly known, became operational in 1994 and is the largest and most sophisticated facility of its kind in the world. The use of advanced automation tools enables the Command Center to manage the National Airspace System (NAS) in an efficient manner. Traffic Management Specialists plan and regulate the flow of air traffic to minimize delays and congestion while maximizing the overall operation of the NAS.
