WASHINGTON, Sept. 21, 2007 - The Air Transport Association of America (ATA), the industry trade organization representing leading U.S. airlines, today commented on the Senate Finance Committee passage of tax provisions related to FAA reauthorization:
"We are disappointed with the outcome of today's Senate Finance Committee decision, but we are appreciative of Sens. Lott and Rockefeller's efforts to establish funding equity," said ATA President and CEO James C. May. "There will be ample opportunities going forward to improve this bill."
