ATA Comments On Financial Reporting Requirements for Oil and Product Pipelines
The bulk of jet fuel airlines use is shipped by pipeline; consequently, airlines are significant consumers of pipeline services. Because the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) does not normally review the rates pipelines charge to shippers such as airlines, instead relying on shippers to contest specific rates, ATA's position is that greater cost and revenue transparency is needed to understand whether pipelines rates are just and reasonable.
