Security

A secure aviation system is critically important and covers a wide variety of areas including passenger, baggage and cargo screening, security of airport areas, aircraft, passengers and employees. While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) determine the necessary security measures based on a careful risk analysis, airlines work with their government partners to implement the measures in a way that does not adversely impact airline operations or inconvenience passengers. This area provides updates on the various security-related activities ATA is engaged in.
